1. About PLATEMINT
PLATEMINT is a product operated by Taehan Lee, ABN 62 506 975 615, in Western Australia.
PLATEMINT provides kitchen software and related services for recipe management, costing, preparation, operations, print workflows and other food-business activities. In these Terms, “PLATEMINT”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the current operator.
By creating an account, accepting an approved paid offer or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you use PLATEMINT for a business, venue or team, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement and provide accurate information when applying for or creating an account. If you are acting for an organisation, you must be authorised to manage its account, users and content.
You are responsible for protecting login details, keeping account information current, assigning suitable user permissions and removing access when a team member is no longer authorised. You must notify customer support promptly if you believe an account, credential or registered device has been compromised.
Accounts may be used only by the account holder and authorised kitchen, venue or operational team members. You are responsible for activity through your account except to the extent it was caused by PLATEMINT or a matter outside your reasonable control.
3. Starter and paid access
Starter is a free, limited way to explore PLATEMINT. Starter may be offered through controlled access or public signup. A request for controlled Starter access does not guarantee that an account will be offered, and Starter does not include paid-plan or Founding entitlements.
Paid access may require an application and approval before payment. We may assess service capacity, operational fit, requested features and onboarding needs. We may accept, decline or defer an application, request further information or suggest a different plan. Applying does not require either party to proceed.
The features and limits available to you depend on the plan recorded in your account or approval confirmation.
4. Subscriptions, PLATEMINT Credits and plan limits
Paid plans are generally recurring subscriptions. Your price, included PLATEMINT Credits, device allowance, venue allowance and other benefits are shown when you apply, purchase or view your account. Those plan details form part of your agreement with us.
PLATEMINT Credits are service-use units for eligible PLATEMINT features. Your plan may include a recurring monthly allowance, one-time Founding bonus Credits or promotional Credits. PLATEMINT Credits are not cash, are not transferable between unrelated accounts and cannot be redeemed for money except where a remedy is required by law.
You must use the service within the user, device, venue, PLATEMINT Credit and other limits applying to your plan. We may ask you to change plan or purchase an approved add-on if your requirements exceed those limits. Custom or enterprise arrangements may include additional written terms.
5. Founding Access
Founding Access is a limited early-access offer available only to approved applicants. The applicable price, benefit period, included PLATEMINT Credits, onboarding support and other benefits are confirmed before payment and recorded when access is activated.
Submitting a Founding Access application does not reserve a place or guarantee approval. Approved applicants receive the appropriate private payment and onboarding information for the approved plan.
Payment does not by itself create immediate access. A paid Founding plan is activated after payment has been verified and the approved account has been set up by PLATEMINT. Founding benefits apply only to the approved account and remain subject to these Terms and the plan details confirmed at activation.
6. Payments, cancellation and refunds
By starting a paid subscription, you authorise the applicable recurring charges shown before payment. Prices, billing frequency, currency and any applicable taxes are presented in the payment or approval information. You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method and accurate billing details.
If a payment fails, we may notify the account owner, allow a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue, retry the payment through our payment provider, restrict paid features or suspend the subscription.
You may request cancellation using an available account control or by emailing support@platemint.app. We will confirm when cancellation takes effect and any remaining access. Cancellation stops future renewal once effective but does not automatically reverse charges for service already supplied.
Refunds, repeat performance, cancellation or other remedies will be provided where required by law, including the Australian Consumer Law. Any discretionary refund request will be considered reasonably in light of the circumstances and the service already supplied.
7. Customer content
You retain ownership of recipes, venue records and other original content that you or your authorised users submit to PLATEMINT. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, copy, back up, display and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure and support the service, comply with law or follow your instructions.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit content and allow authorised team members to access it. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and operational use of your content.
Suggestions, calculations and generated outputs should be reviewed by an appropriately skilled person before they are used for pricing, allergen management, food safety, nutrition, staffing or other important operational decisions.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use PLATEMINT to:
- break the law, facilitate fraud or harm another person;
- upload malicious code, interfere with the service or attempt unauthorised access;
- bypass account, role, PLATEMINT Credit, device, venue or subscription limits;
- access another person's account or confidential content without authority;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights; or
- copy, resell, sublicense or reverse engineer protected parts of PLATEMINT except where law expressly permits it.
You must use exports, printed materials, team access and operational information responsibly and consistently with the requirements applying to your business.
9. Service availability and changes
PLATEMINT may include beta or early-access features. Features may develop, change or occasionally be unavailable while we maintain the service, respond to security issues, improve performance or correct defects. We will use reasonable care in providing the service and, where practical, give notice of material planned interruptions or changes.
We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. You should keep appropriate source records, exports and operational fallback processes for business-critical information. We may change or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary, taking account of existing paid commitments and applicable law.
10. PLATEMINT intellectual property
The PLATEMINT software, interface, design, documentation, branding, SIFAS framework, underlying methods and provider-created content are owned by or licensed to the operator. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for authorised internal kitchen and business purposes while your account remains active.
No ownership of PLATEMINT, SIFAS or related intellectual property is transferred to you. Feedback may be used to improve the service, but we will not claim ownership of your recipes or other customer-owned content merely because you provide feedback.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, payment failure, serious or repeated misuse, a material breach of these Terms, legal requirements or harm to the service or another person. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to address a remediable issue before suspension.
You may stop using a free account at any time and may cancel a paid subscription as described above. When access ends, your right to use the service ends. Provisions concerning payment obligations, intellectual property, customer content, liability and other matters intended to continue will survive termination to the extent necessary.
12. Liability and Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Subject to those rights, PLATEMINT is a kitchen workflow tool and does not replace professional food-safety, allergen, accounting, legal, industrial, nutritional or regulatory advice. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs, making business decisions, maintaining appropriate records and applying suitable professional judgement.
To the extent permitted by law, each party is responsible for loss that is reasonably attributable to its own acts or omissions. We do not seek to exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful.
13. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws. Nothing in this section prevents a person from relying on a jurisdiction or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
